We have just got back from a brilliant visit to the beach at Sandsend on the North Yorkshire coast.
It was my best day out ever as I have discovered something called, surfing! It is such a sunny day I thought I would take a dip as I was getting a bit warm chasing those seagulls. Meg wasn’t so enthusiastic; she is more of a beach and sunbathing girl. The water was a bit chilly but my lovely black coat kept me warm. I splashed around trying to get Meg wet and then Phil threw a stick for me to fetch way out to sea, I swam after it and the IT happened……….I was lifted up by a big wave and carried back towards the beach…AMAZING! After that there was no stopping me, I was popping up on every wave in sight. Those humans in funny outfits and standing on white ironing boards kept paddling by me and laughing…..I think they were just jealous of my doggie body surfing style.
Phil and Caroline weren’t very happy as I wouldn’t get out of the water and they were desperate to get to the Hart Pub for one of their lovely crab sandwiches…….
From now on I will be watching the surf report for those perfect offshore waves at Sandsend!
