The word is out from those lovely people at the Met office that we can expect summer temperatures to be warmer than average and it is ‘odds on for a barbeque summer’
Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, Ewen McCallum, said: "After two disappointingly-wet summers, the signs are much more promising this year. We can expect times when temperatures will be above 30 °C, something we hardly saw at all last year."
That means lots of visits to the beach and doggies surfing for me and lots of barbeques for our guests. Here at Flamborough Rigg Cottage and The Hayloft we have an excellent sun terrace and barbeque area so our guests can make the most of the predicted sunny evenings.
Some may even choose to take their breakfast on their terrace overlooking the garden.
This of course would mean increased snacking potential for me and the girls if Phil and Caroline weren’t always one step ahead of our tactics. How on earth did they spot the tunnel? That cat probably tipped them off, traitor!
I am off to scout out the best sunbathing spots in the garden and to plan our next mission.
