Phil and Caroline are working hard in the vegetable garden at Flamborough Rigg Cottage here in Stape so our B&B guests will have lots of yummy vegetables during the coming summer and autumn.
It looks as if all the potatoes, shallots and broad beans are well established. The courgettes and runner beans have just gone in and numerous parsnip, beetroot and carrot seeds have been sown. The conservatory is full of tomato, cucumber and salad seedlings.
My offers to help with the digging haven’t been accepted very graciously, if anything they have resulted in lots of chasing and shouting. I even tried planting Lily (the cute new puppy and latest addition to our family at Flamborough Rigg cottage) just the other day to see if I could get her to grow. That definitely didn’t go down well!
Phil said I am in the dog house….Doh! Who else’s house does he think it is?
