As readers of our blog will already know, Whitby is one of our favourite places for doggie treat hoovering opportunities. All those lovely tourists are always dropping the odd tasty morsel. Sadly I don’t think that we will get a chance to taste any scraps from the award winning chef in Whitby unless Phil and Caroline bring a doggy bag home with them! Maybe if we loiter outside looking cute he might take pity.
Rob Green who runs Green's of Whitby in North Yorkshire has been crowned Seafood Chef of the Year
at an awards ceremony held in London's Grosvenor Square by Seafish, the seafood authority.
Rob runs the restaurant in Bridge Street, Whitby with his wife Emma. Green's, a bistro and restaurant, opened in March 2001.
Rob is able to choose seafood fresh from the quayside every morning. Prime local meats and game are also a speciality. The abundance of fresh produce means that the menu changes frequently to offer you “the best of the day” - this has helped to take Green's' status to not only one of the finest restaurants in Whitby, but one of the finest restaurants in North Yorkshire
